At Least 23 People Where Injured During Tornadoes That Swept Through Texas Yesterday

23 people were injured after tornadoes touched down in Texas yesterday. 12 of the 23 were hospitalized after two confirmed tornadoes touched down in Bell County. 911 calls reporting a twister started coming in at 5:40p.m. as a tornado crossed the county line from Williamson County traveling seven miles per hour on the ground. Damages ranged from downed powerlines and trees to buildings being flattened and reduced to rubble in some areas. The severe weather yesterday brought 8 tornadoes to Texas and Iowa as well as heavy snow to multiple states including the Dakotas, Montana and Minnesota. Today, more than 97 million people are under some sort of severe weather alert stretching from Texas to Louisiana up to Missouri and Illinois.
