Details Released Following Fatal Fiery Crash In Myrtle Beach
A Ford F-150 was traveling north when it crossed the center median and entered the southbound lanes.
We now have additional details following a fatal fiery crash in Myrtle Beach.
The accident happened on Sept. 27 along Highway 17 Bypass near Pine Island Road. A Ford F-150 was traveling north when it crossed the center median and entered the southbound lanes. It struck the front of a Chevy Traverse.
A witness who was traveling behind the F-150 reported that it passed several vehicles while speeding before losing control, veering left and crossing the median. A Chevy Cruze that was traveling behind the Traverse was also involved.
Two of the vehicles caught fire and everyone involved was taken to the hospital with injuries. 37-year-old Serhii Babak was the driver of the Traverse who was killed. The case is being investigated as a reckless homicide investigation that remains active. It is unclear if anyone has been charged.
