Will Smith released an apology and explanation for for his actions at the Oscars. In a post on Instagram, Smith called his behavior unacceptable and inexcusable. He went onto to say that jokes are part of the job, but when one was made about his wife’s medical condition, it was too much for him to bear. He apologized specifically to Chris Rock and to the Academy.
