Over 2,000 Texts from Mark Meadows Released
More than 2,000 text messages former President Trump’s White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows sent and received between election day of 2020 and President Biden’s inauguration day have been obtained by several media outlets. The texts detail how Trump’s inner circle, supporters and Republican lawmakers worked behind the scenes to try to overturn the election results then reacted to the violence that unleased at the Capitol during the insurrection. The logs also show how Meadows was at the center of sprawling conspiracy theories claiming the election had been stolen and demonstrated how he played a key role in attempts to stop Biden’s certification. They include messages from members of Trump’s family including Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr. as well as White House and campaign officials, cabinet members, Republican party leaders, January 6 rally organizers, Rudy Giuliani, and more.
