Scientists Conduct Study on How to Perfectly Open an Oreo
They're calling it 'Oreology'.
sSome MIT researchers are looking at the science behind Oreo twisting…and they’re calling it ‘Oreology’. They released a report on their efforts to perfectly ‘twist’ the cookie so that the cream is evenly distributed to each side. They even created a machine, an Ooreometer’ to precisely split the cookies. The scientists found however that, even if you perfectly split them, the cream almost always ends up on just one of the wafers. So, maybe Oreo fans are better off dunking than twisting.
