Man Who Hopped Fence at MYR Indicted

A federal grand jury indicted a man who’s accused of climbing over a barbed-wire fence into a secure area of the Myrtle Beach International Airport last month. 20 year old Abdulraham Ahmed Al Aqlan was indicted on Tuesday in Florence for the incident, he remains behind bars at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. According to a criminal report Al Aqlan tried to “evade security procedures or restrictions by climbing over the fence, entering the airfield, and attempting to enter the secured area of the airport.” He was caught by Horry County Police who notified the FBI. If convicted, he would be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
