Second Suspect Arrested in Connection to Mall Shooting in Columbia, SC
A second suspect was arrested in connection to the mall shooting in Columbia South Carolina over the weekend. 20 year old Marquise Love Robinson was arrested yesterday and charged with nine counts of assault and battery, attempted murder, and unlawful carrying of a handgun. He is expected to have a bond hearing today. 22 year old Jewayne Price was arrested Sunday and charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol, but according to Columbia Police Chief W.H. “Skip” Holbrook, more charges are coming. A judge set Price’s bond at $25,000 and he will be allowed to travel to and from work with an ankle monitor if he posts bond. Police have also issued an arrest warrant for 21 year old Amari Sincere-Jamal Smith who was allegedly involved in the shooting. During the incident, nine people were wounded by gunfire and an additional six people were injured as they were trying to escape the scene. A 73 year old female wounded in the gunfire is still in an intensive care unit. The other 14 victims were released from the hospital.
