Olympian Allyson Felix Announces Her Retirement
Track and Field Olympian Allyson Felix has announced her retirement for the end of the season. Felix is the most decorated Track and Field athlete in history with 18 career Olympic medals, 7 from individual events and 11 from team relays. In a post to Instagram yesterday Felix said “This season isn’t about the time on the clock, it’s simply about joy… if you see me on the track this year I hope to share a moment, a memory and my appreciation with you.” Her last major meets will be the US Championships from June 23 to 26, then the World Championships in Eugene Oregon from July 15th to 24th.
