Senate Confirms President Biden’s Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson
The Senate confirmed President Biden’s Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson yesterday. With a vote of 53 to 47, Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Mitt Romney of Utah and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska joined all democrats to vote in her favor. Vice President Kamala Harris presided over the chamber during the vote in her capacity as President of the Senate. Jackson will continue her current position on the U.S. Court of Appeals and be sworn in some time this summer after Justice Stephen Breyer retires.
