House Select Committee Files Contempt of Congress Reports for Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro

The criminal referral for both former Trump advisors comes ahead of the committee's planned meeting today.

The House Select Committee filed contempt of congress reports for Trump White House aides Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro. Both men have declined to testify before the committee investigating the January 6th insurrection at the capitol. Scavino served as Deputy White House Chief of Staff and was one of former President Trump’s most loyal allies. Meanwhile, Peter Navarro has been very public about his attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson has said “Mr. Navarro appears to have information directly relevant to the select committee’s investigation into the causes of the January 6th attack.” The criminal referral for both former Trump advisors comes ahead of the committee’s planned meeting today.
