National Day Of Remembrance For Charlie Kirk
Both chambers of Congress approved resolutions to honor Kirk on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
More than a month has gone by since Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10.
The conservative influencer’s death was felt globally. Last month, both chambers of Congress approved resolutions to honor Kirk on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
October 14th will be marked as a National Day of Remembrance for Kirk. Sen. Rick Scott introduced the resolution calling Kirk’s death “a devastating loss.” He said Kirk’s life was “shaped by his faith and the idea that in America, debate and discussion are crucial to the betterment of our country. He believed in God, the American dream, the value of family, and the principles of our great nation.”
The day is not established a national holiday, but the order encourages appropriate programs, activities, prayers and more to honor Kirk’s mission.
