Dr. Fore Withdraws Appointment To Be Acting President For FDTC

For now, Dr. Debbie Cheek will resume her role as interim president as FTDC continues its search.

The recently retired Horry-Georgetown Technical College president Dr. Marilyn Fore has made a decision.

Dr. Fore has withdrawn her appointment to be acting president of Florence-Darlington Technical College. Fore’s retirement from HGTC took effect July 31. Fore was appointed to be acting president for FDTC on July 14, but has since withdrawn based on health concerns.

Fore was going to replace Jermaine Ford, who resigned in May. He was the school’s fifth president. For now, Dr. Debbie Cheek will resume her role as interim president as FTDC continues its search.
