Miss North Carolina USA Stripped Of Her Title
The move comes just weeks before she was set to represent the Tar Heel State at the 75th annual Miss USA pageant on August 27.
Miss North Carolina USA has been stripped of her title.
Brittany Boltinhouse’s crown was taken away from her just weeks before the Miss USA pageant after organizers cited an extended pattern of conduct violating organization’s standards.
The Miss USA chairman did not specify what conduct prompted the decision but said that the organization “does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity.” She added that the conduct occurred “over an extended period of time.”
The decision ends Boltinhouse’s reign just weeks after she won the state title and less than three weeks before she was set to represent the Tar Heel State at the 75th annual Miss USA pageant on August 27.
