An Armed and Dangerous Shooting Suspect is Now in Custody

The suspect was taken into custody in Darlington County.

The ‘armed and dangerous’ man wanted in connection to the shooting we told you about earlier this week in Georgetown is in custody. 25-year-old Stevion Marsh was taken into custody in Darlington County last night after being wanted for one count of murder.

Officers were dispatched to Prince Street around 1:00am on Tuesday in reference to shots being fired. When they arrived at the scene they found 51-year-old Cornelius Smith with a gunshot wound. According to an incident report, Smith was shot four times in his left leg, had a bite mark on his left shoulder, a cut to his forehead and a cut with bruising to his left temple. Smith was taken to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital and died later at MUSC.
