Airline CEOs Want Mask Mandates to End

Earlier this month, the White House moved the end of the mask mandate to April 18th.

CEO’s at 10 airlines and cargo carriers want President Biden to end the transportation mask mandate and the testing requirement for international travelers. That includes major carriers like American Airlines, Delta, Hawaiian Airlines, and United. The executives have signed a letter to the President that outlines their views. It states that mask and testing requirements quote “are no longer aligned with the realities of the current epidemiological environment.” Earlier this month, the White House moved the end of the mask mandate to April 18th and said pertinent agencies would consult with the CDC on whether it could end sooner and under what circumstances it could be brought back.
