President Trump’s 2005 tax returns leaked

The American public finally got a glimpse at President Trump’s federal tax returns. Two pages of the return were revealed to the country Tuesday night, but is it much ado about nothing?

The numbers are — as you would expect — large. Trump earned about $153 million that year. but even after some big write-offs, he still paid a fair amount in taxes:$36.5million, or about 25-percent.

The White House tried to get a jump on the news, releasing the same information — and suggesting that last night’s reporting was illegal.
