Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Yesterday a two vehicle crash near Strickland resulted in a motorcyclist’s death. The motorcycle was traveling Northbound on Secondary 45 as an SUV was traveling Southbound. The motorcyclist attempted to pass another vehicle resulting in a head on collision with the SUV. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.

A suspect involved in a fatal shooting at a nightclub in Georgetown has been arrested. 28-year-old Darius Grant of Conway is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime at a nightclub off of old Pee Dee Road.
