New Palmetto Coast Industrial Park To Bring Big Businesses

Pepsi Bottling Ventures announced they will be moving their operations into one of the buildings.

On Tuesday night, Horry County Council approved the final reading for the Palmetto Coast Industrial Park to bring in big businesses.

Due to legal reasons, the industrial park was anonymously referred to as “Project Cook”. It was revealed that it’s a four-building industrial park, and Pepsi Bottling Ventures announced they will be moving their operations into one of the buildings.

The new location is on a 69-acre space near Watertower Road and Highway 31 in North Myrtle Beach.

Pepsi has operated out of Conway for over a decade but the new industrial park will be a chance for them to expand into a bigger operational space and keep jobs and revenue within the county.

The $15 million investment from the company will retain over 145 jobs and bring in 27 new jobs.

The planners of the Palmetto Coast Industrial Park announced there are hopes to break ground by March of this year.
