SLED Investigating Officer Involved Shooting In Florence Co.

The situation unfolded on Sept. 18 when a Florence County Sheriff's deputy initiated a traffic stop which led to a pursuit.

It happened on Sept. 18 when a Florence County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop. The situation escalated to a pursuit along W. Black Creek Road.

The two vehicles briefly stopped when the deputy fired and the pursuit continued. The vehicle was later stopped.

No law enforcement officers were injured but further details are limited. SLED has been contacted to investigate the incident.
