Two Teens Arrested In Connection To Series Of Car Break-Ins
The pair allegedly were involved in a high-speed chase with Horry County police in late February.
Two teens have been arrested in connection to a series of car break-ins that happened in Georgetown County.
18-year-old Kemonte Holmes and a 16-year-old were both arrested. The pair allegedly were involved in a high-speed chase with Horry County police in late February. They occupied a Ford Explorer that was allegedly stolen from Big Dam Drive in Andrews.
The two crashed the Ford in Loris and fled on foot. In the back of the vehicle was a 24-inch Phillips TV that was stolen from an 18-wheeler parked on Robinson Drive. Authorities worked with Georgetown County residents to help identify them.
Holmes was arrested Monday night and the 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday night. They are both charged with one count of receiving stolen goods greater than $10,000 and one count of receiving stolen goods less than $2,000. The investigation remains underway and anyone with information should contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
