Surfworks Attraction Relocated To Open At Broadway At The Beach
The park will take over the site that used to be 'The Palace Theater,' which closed after Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
Developers of Surfworks announced they are eyeing a different location for their man-made surf park.
The attraction is now set open at Broadway at the Beach.
It will be located at the corner of 21st Avenue North and the Highway 17 bypass.
The park will take over the site that used to be ‘The Palace Theater,’ which closed after Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
The 28-acre park will have a wave pool, cabanas, businesses and retail space.
It will also have a 10,000-seat amphitheater as well as an on-site skate park.
Surfworks is now expected to open in 2027.
