The Marion Police Department is reminding residents about the curfew within city limits.

The ordinance states that anyone under the age of 18 is not allowed to be in public places unsupervised within city limits between midnight and 6am during the holiday season.

That covers streets, parks, playgrounds, public buildings, vacant lots, entertainment venues, and establishments. It also prohibits minors from loitering, walking, playing or riding in or occupying vehicles in those locations during curfew hours.

For minors who have a job, they must be home within half an hour at the end of their work shift. For more information, visit the city’s website.
