Workers Go On Strike Across The East And Gulf Coast Ports

Impacted products include, alcohol, furniture, vehicles, fruit and many more goods that come from foreign nations.

Nearly 50,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association went on strike Tuesday.

The strikes are against the United State’s East and Gulf Coast ports, which will disrupt the flow of America’s imports and exports.

The strikes will stop a wide variety of goods over the docks of almost all cargo ports from Maine to Texas.

Products include, alcohol, furniture, vehicles, fruit and many more goods that come from foreign nations.

It will also keep parts needed to keep U.S. factories operating from coming in.

This could become the country’s most disruptive work stoppage in decades.

The strikes come as the ILA is requesting demand’s for a new contract that have not been met yet.
