21-Year-Old Fatally Struck By Vehicle While Operating Wheel Chair

21-year-old Guy Hickson was struck by a vehicle while operating his wheelchair on North Horseshoe Road.

The identity of a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Horry County has been identified.

Around 8:30pm Aug. 13, 21-year-old Guy Hickson was struck by a vehicle while operating his wheelchair on North Horseshoe Road.

A GMC Yukon was traveling east on the road when it struck Hickson, who was in the roadway. The driver of the GMC was not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
