United Airline Flight Attendants Authorize Strike
Tthe strike would be conducted if contract negotiations between their union and airline fail to meet their requirements.
United Airlines flight attendants have voted to authorize a strike.
Over 99% of the association of Flight Attendants-CWA members who took part in the vote decided to approve the authorization.
This does not mean flight attendants are walking off the job immediately.
Tthe strike would be conducted if contract negotiations between their union and airline fail to meet their requirements.
The union would then need to request a release from the National Mediation Board, and they would have a 30-day “cooling off period” before a strike begins.
United flight attendants are asking for a double-digit base pay increase, pay for all time they work, including on the ground, retroactive pay and schedule and retirement flexibility.
