Lumberton Police Search For Man Wanted In Connection To Shooting

A woman was shot in the leg and drove herself to a hospital but, her condition is unknown at this time.

Lumberton police are asking for help locating a wanted man.

23-year-old Quamek Townsend of Fairmont is wanted in connection to a shooting in the parking lot of an IGA Supermarket.

The incident occurred last Thursday around 9pm.

A woman was shot in the leg and drove herself to a hospital but, her condition is unknown at this time.

Townsend now faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is also charged with discharging a weapon into occupied property and discharging a firearm within city limits.
