Man Dies After Being Struck By Two Vehicles Along Highway 17 Bypass

34-year-old Zebulon Lester was hit along Highway 17 Bypass near Wood Thrush Drive.

One man died after being struck by two vehicles while walking on Highway 17 early Wednesday morning.

34-year-old Zebulon Lester was hit along Highway 17 Bypass near Wood Thrush Drive.

The victim was first hit by a 2002 Lexus 4-door heading north, after which he was struck again by a separate vehicle while he was laying in the roadway. That vehicle fled the scene.

Lester died of traumatic injuries.

An investigation is underway and anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
