One Person Is Dead And Another Left Injured After Home Explosion

It was said the residence was engulfed in flames and crews from Windy Hill Fire Department fought the fire for over an hour.

A home explosion occurred in Florence County Thursday leaving one person dead and another injured.

Just before 2pm, police were called to a home on Gilbert Drive.

It was said the residence was engulfed in flames and crews from Windy Hill Fire Department fought the fire for over an hour.

One person who was inside the home did not survive the incident.

Another person was transported to a hospital but their condition is unclear at this time.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
