World Central Kitchen Resumes Operations In Gaza

The organization said, "The humanitarian situation remains dire. We are restarting our operation with the same energy, dignity, and focus on feeding as many people as possible."

The World Central Kitchen has resumed operations in Gaza after suspending its presence in the area four weeks ago.

The organization withdrew from Gaza after April 1, when seven aid workers were killed by Israeli air strikes.

Since then, the  Israeli military has dismissed two officers and reprimanded three others for their roles in the attack. It was said they mishandled critical information and violated the army’s rules of engagement. The IDF said the incident should have never occurred and WCK employees were not meant to be targeted.

World Central Kitchen has now returned to Gaza.

The organization said, “The humanitarian situation remains dire. We are restarting our operation with the same energy, dignity, and focus on feeding as many people as possible.”

The organization said food will be sent in by whatever means possible, including land, air and sea.
