Health Alert Issued Over Ground Beef Contaminated With E. Coli

If you have contaminated ground beef, you should dispose of it or report it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a public health alert on certain ground beef products.

‘Greater Omaha Packing Co. Inc.,’ discovered that the company distributed ground beef that was found to be contaminated with E. Coli, to retail and food service locations nationwide.

None of the contaminated ground beef is available for purchase by the public; however, it may still be in consumers’ refrigerators and freezers.

The products have a freeze-best-use-by-date of April 28.
