Judge Grants Bond To Woman Accused Of Killing New Bride On Wedding Day

Jamie Komoroski will be placed on house arrest and is only permitted to leave her home for medical emergencies or court dates.

A judge has set bond for Jamie Komoroski, the woman accused of hitting and killing a new bride and severely injuring the groom during a DUI crash in Folly Beach last year.

The judge initially denied bond for the 26-year-old in August, but said if there was no trial by spring, bond would be granted.

Komoroski’s bond was set at $150,000. She will be placed on house arrest and is only permitted to leave her home for medical emergencies or court dates. She will also be required to wear an ankle monitor and is not allowed to drive.

On April 28 of 2023, Komoroski crashed into a golf cart that was carrying Samantha Miller, her new husband Aric Hutchinson and others.

Miller was killed while Hutchinson suffered serious injuries.

Komoroski is charged with reckless homicide resulting in death and three counts of felony DUI.

A trial date will be set once both sides have had appropriate time to analyze and prepare for the case.
