25-year-old Jamie Komoroski was driving the speeding vehicle at the time of the incident.

On Friday, April 28th, a woman woke up on what some would refer to as the best day of her life, little did she know it would be her last.

After a day full of celebrating the promise of life long love with their closest friends and family, the new husband and wife left their wedding, along with two others, on a golf cart.

While in route to their destination in Folly Beach, they were struck by a vehicle traveling 65 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone.

The newly introduced Samantha Hutchinson, still in her bridal gown, died on the scene. Her husband Aric Hutchinson remains in critical condition and the other two passengers were injured as well.

25-year-old Jamie Komoroski was driving the speeding vehicle at the time of the incident. She was not harmed in the collision, however, she allegedly smelled of alcohol and seemed unstable to police officers who arrived on the scene.

When asked if she had consumed any alcoholic beverage that night, she replied that she only drank one beer and one tequila drink about an hour before the crash. Officers attempted to perform a field sobriety test when Komoroski reportedly became uncooperative.

Komoroski has now been arrested and charged with one count of reckless homicide and three counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily harm.

In 2020, the now detained suspect, graduated from Coastal Carolina University. Public records revealed that she has had three separate traffic infractions in Horry County over the past few years.
