Boil Water Notice Issued For Two Myrtle Beach Areas

When test results are cleared, typically in 48-hours, the boil water notice will be lifted.

Precautionary boil water notices were issued for certain areas in Myrtle Beach Monday.

The city advises that all water used to consume, brushing teeth or washing dishes, should be boiled before use.

Boiling water for one minute is sufficient and bottled water can be used as an alternative.

The areas affected include Seville Drive and Medical Drive.

A repair is being made on two-inch water lines that were involved at both locations.

Once repairs are complete, the lines will be flushed and samples will be drawn to test for bacteria.

When test results are cleared, typically in 48-hours, the boil water notice will be lifted.
