A former Memphis, Tennessee, officer who was charged in the death of Tyre Nichols is expected to change his plea.

The five former officers have all pleaded not guilty to state charges of second degree murder. Each were then indicted in September on several federal charges, including deprivation of rights under the color of the law through excessive force, failure to intervene through deliberate indifference, conspiracy to witness tampering, and obstruction of justice through witness tampering.

Former officer, Desmond Mills Jr., is now expected to change his not-guilty plea in a hearing set for Thursday. Details regarding his new plea agreement are limited at this time.
