Iran Is Reportedly Rebuilding Its Military Capabilities

The rebuilding of military capabilities also includes replacing missile sites, launchers and production capacity for key weapons systems destroyed during the current conflict.

Iran is reportedly rebuilding its military capabilities much faster than initially expected following recent U.S.-Israeli strikes on its weapons infrastructure.

The country has already restarted some of its drone production during the six-week ceasefire that began in early April. The rebuilding of military capabilities also includes replacing missile sites, launchers and production capacity for key weapons systems destroyed during the current conflict.

That means that Iran remains a significant threat to regional allies if President Trump resumes the bombing campaign. It also calls into question claims about the extent to which U.S.-Israeli strikes have degraded Iran’s military in the long term.

While the time to restart production of different weapons components varies, some U.S. intelligence estimates indicate Iran could fully reconstitute its drone attack capability in as soon as six months.
