Trump Rejects Iran’s Latest Peace Proposal
The rejection of the peace plan highlights the deep divisions that remain over how to end the conflict.
President Trump rejected Iran’s latest peace proposal.
The U.S. says the latest proposal did not include provisions limiting the nation’s nuclear program. It also demanded that the U.S. release Tehran’s frozen assets and to end the naval blockade.
Trump dismissed the proposal as “totally unacceptable.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the conflict is “not over” until Iran’s enriched uranium is removed and its nuclear enrichment sites are fully dismantled.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry defended its latest proposal claiming they are not demanding any concessions from the U.S., but demanded Iran’s legitimate rights. The rejection of the peace plan highlights the deep divisions that remain over how to end the conflict.
