Several Structures Damaged In Horry County Fire

Three residents were displaced and will receive assistance from the American Red Cross.

Several structures were damaged in a fire on Saturday.

Around 5:15pm, crews were called to a residential structure in the 4000 block of Sawgrass Lane in the Longs community.

A second alarm was sent to bring in additional resources. The flames were under control by 6:30pm.

One structure sustained heavy fire damage, two others had significant damage, and one shed was also significantly damaged. A related brush fire was also contained.

No injuries were reported. However, three residents were displaced and will receive assistance from the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
