CMC Receives Grant to Expand Telehealth Services

The Duke Endowment provided the $510,000 grant.

The Conway Medical Center has received a grant to expand their telehealth services. The Duke Endowment provided the $510,000 grant which will allow the facility to create a team including a nurse practitioner telehealth coordinator and a patient navigator. With the pilot program, about 500 participants from rural and underserved areas will learn how to use the services, receive primary care via telehealth, and their health outcomes will be examined for improvement. CMC officials say residents in Aynor, Galivants Ferry, Longs, Loris and Green Sea will be the first to benefit from the new services. This is the sixth grant the center has received from the Duke Endowment in the past five years totaling nearly $4 million.
