Millions Across the U.S. Under Heat Advisories, Warnings
The heat wave across the United States continues with most of the country under some sort of advisory or warning. Over 20 million people across 16 states were under heat alerts yesterday as some cities reached record breaking highs. According to the National Weather Service, Atlanta reached 98 yesterday, Nashville recorded 100 degrees for the first time in nearly a decade, and at least a dozen other high-temperature records were tied or broken across the country.
