MYR Will Receive $2.2 Million Grant to Rebuild Taxiway
Myrtle Beach International Airport is set to receive a share of nearly $19 million in federal grants to help pay for a number of upgrades. MYR is one of 20 airports in the state to receive the grant with more than two-thirds of the money going towards the state’s four largest airports. MYR will receive $2.2 million to remove a taxiway and rebuild it with additional money going to Charleston International Airport, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, Columbia Metropolitan Airport and other smaller regional and county airports. The grants are among $518 million that the FAA is awarding airports across the U.S. for repairs, maintenance, improvements and equipment.
