President Biden Considering Gas Tax Holiday, Gas Rebate Cards

Yesterday, President Biden said he hopes to decide soon whether to support a temporary pause in the federal gasoline tax. The pause in the 18.3 cents per gallon federal tax would require Congress to act and there has been little indication among lawmakers so far. The administration is trying to find areas of relief for Americans in the midst of the high prices. President Biden also said he’s weighing on whether to back sending Americans gas rebate cards. Also up for consideration are Student Loan Debt forgiveness and easing certain tariffs on China which would bring down the cost of some consumer goods among other things.
