The resolution was listed on last month’s consent agenda but, was approved without discussion.

Horry County rescinded a vote that passed during last month’s council meeting to make June “Pride Month.” The resolution was listed on last month’s consent agenda but, was approved without discussion. Afterwards, the vote was rescinded. Councilman Johnny Vaught and Danny Hardee were quoted on the matter and stated the subject passed because it was overlooked due to the way it was worded. The decision was made to rescind and bring it back for individual voting at the next meeting. The vote won’t be effective until minutes are approved at that meeting on June 21st.
