TSA Expands Mask Mandate Through April 18th
The TSA is extending it’s Covid-19 mask mandate until April 18th. The extension comes after recommendations from the CDC and goes against a letter from a group of 92 Republicans that was sent to TSA Administrator David Pekoske on Wednesday demanding the end of the mandate by it’s previous deadline of March 18th which was announced in August of last year. During the extension, the CDC will also be working on developing guidance to ease nationwide mask mandates on planes, buses and other mass transit which will be unveiled next month. Currently, not wearing a mask in airports is a federal offense and can result in a fine of up to $3,000.
