7 Dead, Others Injured After Deadly Tornado in Iowa
At least 7 people were killed after a tornado in Iowa on Saturday. The oldest victim was 72-years-old and the youngest was 2. One of the deaths was reported in Chariton and the other six were reported near Winterset. Several other people suffered injuries including some that were life-threatening as the tornado struck as many as 30 homes in the area. Several power lines, and vegetation were also destroyed as wind speeds reached at least 136 miles per hour. Governor Kim Reynolds issued a statement saying “our hearts go out to all those affected by the deadly storms that tore through our state today.”
