Pay Raises For SC Law Enforcement Officers Announced
This morning, Governor Henry McMaster was joined by Law Enforcement Officers, members of the General Assembly and officials from the Department of Administration. It was announced that the minimum Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer salary in the state be raised to $43,500 and those already working in the agency will get a 5% raise, whichever is higher. Minimum salaries for state agencies including SLED, Department of Public Safety, Department of Natural Resources, and Probation, Parole and Pardon Services will also be raised. The raises at the state agencies will cost $18 million per year.
