New Details on Monday’s Shooting in Socastee

New details have been released on a shooting in the Socastee area we told you about yesterday. According to a report, officers were called to the area of Rittenhouse Road near Socastee Boulevard and Dick Pond Road around 4 pm on Monday. An officer said they spoke to several witnesses who claim gunshots ‘rang out’ near the scene. One witness stated that they saw one man running behind a building after the shooting and also saw one vehicle involved in the gunfire drive to the back of the apartment complex before coming back ‘to the entrance to pick up the victim who had an unknown injury.’ A short time after, the victim and driver showed up at a local hospital. No additional details have been released at this time and it is unknown if the person who went to the hospital suffered from a gunshot wound.
