At Least 5.2 Million Children Globally Have Lost A Parent, Grandparent or Family Member to Covid-19

A new study reveals a shocking number of children globally have lost a parent, grandparent or family member to the Coronavirus. According to the study which was published in the Medical Journal ‘The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health’ at least 5.2 million children from 21 countries have lost a loved one since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 through October of last year. Real-time data using the model suggests that number rose to 6.7 million as of January.
