Horry County Planning Commission Approves Rezoning Requests for Conway, Longs

The Horry County Planning Commission met yesterday to discuss several rezoning projects. Two of the projects will impact people in the Conway and Longs areas. The first request is to rezone 63 acres of land along Dock Road near the Long Avenue Extension in Conway to a multi-residential district. The second will turn a forest agricultural district into a multi-residential district along Camp Swamp Road in the Longs and Loris area. The 101 acres of land includes large single-family lots or family subdivisions with a minimum lot size of half an acre. The commission also deferred a request to rezone 77 acres of land on McKinley Shortcut Road in Conway. The Horry County Council will have the final say on the rezoning requests.
