The City of Conway Holds Meeting for Redevelopment Ideas from Residents
The City of Conway is asking for ideas from residents on how to redevelop the area. Last night, city leaders and developers met with residents to get their thoughts on how they can build a better community together. Public Information Officer June Wood said that as the city grows and more people move in, they want to grow their entertainment and business space downtown. Wood said “Our master plan is a huge part of our community. We want to make sure they buy into it, so we need to address their concerns or the things that they want or the things that they love that they want us to keep doing.” Many in attendance expressed interest in extending the Riverwalk through Teal Ally, bringing in more businesses and working on landscaping. A master design plan for the city is set to be unveiled tomorrow afternoon.
