Lowe’s to Open Mini Petco Shops Inside Stores
Pretty soon, you may be able to pick up Fido's food while buying paint or light bulbs.
Lowe’s Home Improvement is teaming up with Petco on a store-in-a-store program. Select Lowe’s locations will have mini-versions of the pet stores inside, where shoppers can buy things like pet food, beds, and toys. Vaccination clinics, microchipping, and grooming will also be available at certain times. Lowe’s says the partnership came about due to Americans adopting more than 11 million new pets during the pandemic. The new concept is coming to a Lowe’s store in Alamo Ranch, Texas next month. It will then expand to 14 other stores in Texas and the Carolinas.
